MAKING YOUR VIDEO

1. The video can be shot on a smart phone or tablet. Try the 720p resolution option for good video quality.

2. Please use ‘landscape’ format when filming on a phone or tablet (i.e. hold the device sideways).

3. Hold the camera steady and as motionless as possible for best results.

 4. If filming match play:

·      the best camera angle is from behind the court, so that the court and both players are in the picture.

·      Shooting from a height above the court (e.g. from a balcony, or with the camera safely secured to the top of the back fence) is ideal.

 5. If you are filming a specific stroke for technical analysis:

·      some slow motion footage is very useful.

·      Footage shot from the side of the court  (e.g. along the baseline if the player is serving or hitting groundstrokes) is very useful.

·      Combine the above with video taken from behind the player (from the back fence) for ideal coverage.

 6. If you are recording a match, you will need permission from the other player, or parental consent if the opponent is aged under 18 years.

 7. When recording, try not to include players on other courts, bystanders or passers-by.
